Through fun and engaging hands-on activities, this event provides students and community members an opportunity to understand and learn about the world of manufacturing and visit with over 35 companies and educational institutions in a world-class R&D facility. See live and engaging demonstrations of CNC machines, 3D printing, laser cutting, robots, virtual welding and more while learning how these activities relate to careers in Oregon’s manufacturing sector.
At our inaugural event last year, over 230 local high school students engaged with 25 vendors and partners at interactive booths at the OMIC R&D facility.

This community driven event is part of the national MFG Day effort and made possible by the support and involvement of a planning committee consisting of regional industry, education and workforce development partners from Northwest Oregon Works, NW STEM Hub with NWRESD, OMIC R&D, Oregon Aero, Portland Community College, ResCare, Rightline Equipment, Scappoose High School and St. Helens High School.
