Two international OMIC R&D members – WFL Millturn Technologies of Austria and Sandvik Coromant of Sweden – will be demonstrating how to maximize manufacturing results using new metal cutting technologies at OMIC R&D on February 20 and 21. This is an opportunity for Oregon and regional companies to learn of new manufacturing techniques to gain a competitive advantage. Manufacturers from across the region will be attending to learn from highly skilled technicians from both companies on machines resident at OMIC R&D. Attendees must register in advance of the event and the number of attendees is limited.
OMIC R&D member companies have a long tradition of collaborating in advanced metal cutting applications and will provide attendees with a wide range of opportunities on how to optimize value creation in metal cutting. Capabilities of the MILLTURN machine concept by WFL will be presented together with live demonstrations on the M80 MILLTURN. A special emphasis will be on flexible and high precision gear cutting, a unique opportunity provided by the MILLTURN machine. Sandvik Coromant will present the latest developments in advanced metal cutting tooling and application solutions.
